About

Get to know Jill...

While she works with a broad array of clients, much of Jill's practice is focused on young adults who are going through major life transitions such as exiting high school and moving into the next phase of life (college/work or a combination of both), or struggling to find a path in whatever next stage of life they find themself. In addition, Jill specializes in working with adults within the larger spectrum of special and unique needs- including emotional or mental health challenges like Depression and Anxiety, but also those with Learning Differences, attentional challenges like ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Highly Sensitive People, and related challenges due to neurodiversity. Jill’s approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Emotions-Focused Therapy, promoting a cooperative mix of practical real-life coping strategies with attention to Attachment Theory and its impact on our interpersonal relationships. She promotes improvements in areas of communication, coping, conflict resolution, problem solving and stress management. Jill enjoys working as a partner with her clients to face challenges in a courageous and grounded manner. Her goal as a therapist is to work together to address obstacles and uncover a life filled with balance, self-awareness, and growth. Jill is offering a new in-person group for young adults (ages 18-26) for improving coping skills while connecting out in nature with peers. This 4-week session group offers both clinical support for strengthening coping strategies but also opportunities to practice skills out in the real world, together. Movement and exercise promotes improved mood, more energy and better sleep. Being in nature helps reduce stress and replenish our cognitive resources. Social engagement can improve our sense of belonging and fulfillment. The benefits of incorporating all of these components are unlimited! Accepting new clients on an ongoing basis for this short-term group opportunity.
